The next movie in the ever popular line of DC Animated Movies has been officially announced as Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. The movie is based on the second story arc of Jeph Loeb's run on Superman/Batman entitled, "The Supergirl from Krypton." The movie will be released on DVD and blu-ray on September 28th.

I don't know, too me, that run was fairly "standard". I'd like to see something a bit more edgy, something that animation could improve on like "Gotham By Gas Light". I'll probably see it though....

ReplyDeleteI think that "Superman/Batman" movies sell well which is why they do them. You figure they do two animated movies a year. One is edgy and doesn't make as much as they'd like, and one is generic that everyone buys. I would love "Gotham By Gaslight." I know Year One is on their list and it's coming up soon. I'd love to see Mazzecchelli's art animated
