Batman: The Brave and the Bold Reboot Because That Totally Makes Sense

Good news for all the Johnny DC's out there,

The comic book series for Batman: The Brave in the Bold is getting rebooted as The All New Batman: the Brave and the Bold! SWEET! This news comes from DC's The Source Blog, where we get all sorts of official goodies, and is kinda of a surprise in a way. Little over a month ago, it was made know that Batman: The Brave and the Bold comic book's last appearance on store shelves would be this October, so it's a little strange to reboot the franchise at this point.

Either way, it's still great to see comics out there that are geared towards kids. The book is being helmed be veteran B:TBATB writer Sholly Fisch with artist Rick Burchett, and the book will also be featuring more "A-List" DC characters like Superman and Captain Marvel (aka SHAZAM!). The Source provided a preview of the first cover, which you can view below.

Here's the official word from The Source:
This November, the comic book version of the much-loved BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD cartoon series gets a new look and creative team – and series.
THE ALL-NEW BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD, with the creative team of writer Sholly Fisch and artist Rick Burchett hits the ground running, with appearances by Superman and Shazam! in the first two issues, and that’s only the beginning, as the series promises to surround the Caped Crusader with an A-list cast of co-stars and surprise guests, in the same fun, energetic vein as the hit cartoon television program “Batman: The Brave and the Bold” from Warner Bros. Animation, airing Fridays at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on Cartoon Network.
Aside from the addition of heroes like Superman, it literally makes NO SENSE whatsoever to reboot this book. By the way, from all the sources I've seen, the B:TBATB animated series is still getting cancelling and the episodes airing this fall will be the last. I don't know about you guys, but I'd much rather have the show back than the comic, but I guess we have to take what we can get.

To me, this news makes absolutely no sense, but what do you guys think?
